What this site does today

• —A skip link to main content on every page, and a single main landmark per page.
• —Full keyboard operation, with a visible gold focus indicator on every interactive element.
• —Semantic headings in order, landmark regions, and labelled navigation for screen readers.
• —Text and interface colours checked against WCAG AA contrast on both the parchment and navy surfaces.
• —Descriptive alt text on meaningful images; decorative and illustrative artwork marked as such.
• —Motion, including the homepage carousel and scroll reveals, is disabled when the operating system requests reduced motion. The carousel can be paused and is fully controllable by keyboard.
• —Responsive layouts and text that reflow without horizontal scrolling from small phones to large displays.
• —Arabic and Somali summaries with correct language and text-direction attributes.

Known limitations

• —Illustrative imagery is described in captions rather than through long-form image descriptions.
• —Some documents intended for partners are not yet published in an accessible format; we will supply an accessible version on request.
• —This statement is based on our own review. An independent audit has not been commissioned.
